Tuning Checklist
Capable of starting, running, and driving
Our expectation is that once we correct tuning issues, the starting system will start the car, the engine is in good mechanical condition, the transmission is functioning and shifting properly, tires and suspension are roadworthy. If this is not the case, please let us know in advance.
It's perfectly fine if your project is in-progress, however we do need to start and drive it safely for a full tune. We completely understand the complexity of building/rebuilding a car, so we're happy to work with you on these items if you let us know in advance.
moreFull fuel tank
Make sure your vehicle has plenty of fuel for testing. Bring your vehicle with a full tank. If it is a performance/race application and the tank is small, bring an additional 10 gal of fuel in jugs/cans.
moreFluids topped off
Make sure oil, trans, and coolant are topped off. If the dipstick is not accurate, let us know!
moreExtra set of spark plugs for dyno tuned vehicles
If you want your vehicle tuned for max power on the dyno, we will need a set of new spark plugs to verify fuel and timing. NGK preferred. Might not use them all, but just in case.
moreWorking temperature and oil pressure gauges. For turbo/blower/nitrous cars - fuel pressure gauge
All vehicles require working oil and temperature gauges, either individual or built into the ECU. We need to monitor these at all times. If it's a power adder vehicle (turbo/blower/nitrous) then a fuel pressure gauge is required.
moreHood, doors, trunk, and fuel door are functioning
Any areas of the vehicle we may need to access need to be accessible.
moreWorking CAN BUS/OBDII with access
For factory ECU, we need a working OBDII port that is accessible. For Holley EFI, we need access to the CAN BUS connector. If it's buried under the carpet or up in the dash, please locate it and point out the location when you drop off the vehicle.
