That's a great question! At Truth Dyno and Performance, a "tune" is adjusting fuel, spark, air, and electronic transmission parameters to optimize drivability and performance.

General Tuning process:

• Starting and idle
• Drivability and acceleration
• Full throttle
• Transmission shifting (electronic transmissions with factory ECU or Holley EFI only)
• Power optimization/dyno tuning (if desired)

When we tune a vehicle, we expect that all systems and sensors are functioning as they should. If the fuel system, ignition system, valve train, etc. are not working as expected, then the tune will not be successful. If we find issues with this area, we will have a discussion to determine if you would like to address these issues at an additional cost or you would like address them yourself and return the vehicle later to complete the tune.
